Job Description Nyetimber is a pioneering luxury brand and multiple award-winning English sparkling wine producer. Our story is one of many firsts; we were the first to pioneer the now-established style of English sparkling wine; we were the first to grow the renowned grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in England exclusively for producing sparkling wine; and the estate where our vines were first planted, was first mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 by its then Anglo-Saxon name “Nyetimbraha”.

Nyetimber has a renewed sales focus in the South of England on recruiting and managing new high-end on and off-trade accounts. This person will be an excellent communicator who is able and willing to reach and regularly visit potential and existing customers in the South East Region.

This position will report to the Head of Sales UK.

Main responsibilities & duties:

Responsible for all relevant regional sales activities for both existing and new customers within the counties of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hants.
Focus on the recruitment and development of new & existing business high-end accounts in both the on and off-trade.
Provide high level and consistent account management and service to achieve excellent customer satisfaction
Establish and maintain strong relationships through regular visits and develop these accounts through offering tastings, staff training events and incentives.
Develop, manage & execute market leading trade activation plans/activity for key profile existing and new high-end customers
Work closely and liaise/support the brand ambassador to create and manage activity within the region to enhance sales of Nyetimber
Understand and support the prestige brand ambassador to create and support activity within the region to enhance sales of 1086
Act as a brand ambassador for the Nyetimber brand both internally and externally
Be geographically located within the SE region to travel no more than 2 hours/125 miles to all major prospect and existing accounts.
Manage and utilise Nyetimber social media (and any personal social media on an ad hoc basis)
for the benefit of the Nyetimber brand and always represent the company within agreed guidelines and appropriately.
Be proficient and strategically sound in the creation of tender/annual plan presentations in the support of new business growth.
Establish strong internal coordination and collaboration within relevant internal departments
Ensure accounts are structured profitably with a strong launch/annual plan and follow up support (including the right level of promotional activity & POS) to ensure they will be an ongoing success.
Demonstrate a deep and thorough understanding of our products history, mission, production methods and brand essence; be the Nyetimber ambassador and talk knowledgably and passionately about the brand.
Create and attend wine tastings, dinners and self-created events/activity for existing and new high-end customers as required.
Work with marketing team on content creation, using the resources of our high-profile customers
Demonstrate a high level of contribution and collaboration in working with others to make the team successful.
Effectively manage your P&L ensuring regular update meetings and thorough reporting on a bimonthly basis to the Head of Sales.
Willingly align own behaviour with the needs and priorities of the business.
Undertake any prescribed training as required.
Provide accurate & timely account data and keep up to date details of account ownership, activity and performance for senior management to review
Successful applicant will need to spend at least 15 full days per month in trade per month
Undertaking such other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and any other reasonable management request

Qualifications & Experience:

Extensive experience and proven track record of generating and building new business relationships, marketing and brand activation and social media management.
Commercial regional sales experience for a luxury brand (premium drinks industry essential and Wine industry highly desired)
Experience of maintaining a portfolio of high profile stand alone
Consistent performer in hitting sales targets
Management of a large number of luxury accounts and allocating sufficient time to develop each account base/channel
On and off-trade sales experience and sales success track record within Luxury drinks sales
Must be highly organised and work well under pressure
Wine related qualification would be highly desired
