Job Description Role: HPC Engineer - Linux Specialist
Location: Reading (Hybrid - Up to 50% at customer site)
Salary: Up to £100,000
Type: Permanent, full-time

Our partner's HPC, AI & Quantum Business unit is actively seeking a senior Linux specialist to champion their most crucial HPC clients in the UK. Whether you bring a wealth of HPC experience or boast a strong Linux background, we want to hear from you.

Join us as a dynamic senior Linux specialist, where you'll lead the charge in deploying and supporting cutting-edge HPC-like systems. While a robust Linux background is crucial, we're open to passion-driven individuals eager to dive into this project, even if you haven't ventured into HPC before.

Role responsibilities :

Supply the most advanced supercomputers to the UK's HPC customer base.
Provide integration and deployment services for large-scale HPC solutions, including analysing system components and addressing integration challenges.
Conduct testing and assessment of system components, prototype features, and define architectural requirements for high-performance HPC clusters.
Deliver Level 2 software support for HPC environments.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Linux OS (RedHat / Debian based) is required.
A strong understanding of server hardware is essential.
Mandatory skills in scripting with Bash and/or Python.
Fundamental knowledge of networking and security concepts is a requirement
Previous security clearance is highly desirable
Must hold a British passport and have lived in the UK the last 10 years (For DV clearance)
