About You

Following an incredibly successful 2023, we are looking for an experienced senior technical project manager specialising in audio visual production for events to join our fast-paced event production team.

Responsibilities:

Collaborating closely with clients to understand their specific requirements and providing expert guidance
Interpreting project briefs and translating them into creative technical solutions
Creating technical drawings and simulations to support project design and delivery
Costing and budgeting projects accurately and efficiently using rental management software
Keeping specifications and budgets up to date and communicating to stakeholders as projects develop
Supervising project teams, providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction
Producing health and safety documentation and maintaining a safe working environment
Developing relationships with new and returning clients
Proactively seeking opportunities for business development
Nurturing relationships with external suppliers and negotiating favourable deals that work for all
Conducting post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects
Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative AV solutions that enhance the overall event experience

Skills, Experience & Personal Qualities:

Proven Experience as a Senior Project Manager within the events industry
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Extensive knowledge of audio visual systems used on live events, including audio, lighting, video, rigging and power
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Ability to generate clear and concise plans and documentation to delegate to event teams effectively
Excellent self-awareness and understanding of strengths, weaknesses, and capacity to manage workload effectively.
Strong problem-solving ability to diagnose and resolve any project issues swiftly and calmly

Bonus Points:

Knowledge of acoustic simulation software, specifically L’Acoustics Soundvision
Expertise in SketchUp, Vectorworks & Spotlight
In-depth knowledge of industry-standard audio and lighting desks (Allen & Heath, Digico, Yamaha, Avolites, Chamsys, Grand MA)
Experience using Current RMS rental management software

Must-Haves:

Good general IT skills & networking skills
Full UK Driving Licence

Other Things To Know

Training:

Training provision will be a mixture of on-the-job from our in-house experts and an annual budget for external courses.

Holiday & Hours:

28 Days Paid Holiday (plus 1 extra day for every year worked up to a max of 7 days)
Monday – Friday (10 am to 6 pm - Flexible)
Whilst we work hard to manage schedules, due to the nature of the work, expect some evening and weekend commitments
