But that’s not all, we are now transforming the power system for future generations.

They have a critical mission. That mission is to transform the energy system to enable our society to reduce our carbon emissions and meet our climate change and net zero ambitions .
Be part of the change!

The Opportunity
They have an exciting opportunity now for an Engineer to join the Imperfections and Tariffs team within the System Support and Analysis function. Imperfections reporting requires an understanding of the operation of the power system to determine why costs have occurred, and report on them internally within the company and externally. Tariffs are a fundamental part of the power system to recover costs . The role holder will be expected to bridge the gap between operational and commercial teams . You will apply your skills, knowledge and experience to effectively deliver on your team’s processes and overcome problems and carry out technical & commercial analysis to a high degree of accuracy.

The Team
The System Support and Analysis function is an all-island (Ireland and Northern Ireland) team that manages a wide range of technical and commercial support functions for the wider business. This includes the imperfections budget setting and reporting, annual tariff calculations, commissioning, testing and registration of market units, running DS3 system service auctions, technical performance management of service providers, meter/market data checking as per relevant codes and renewables reporting and analysis. We also provide support to Operations and Markets as required and are a source of expertise for future development work across the business. This can range from supporting new systems to major projects.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
A relevant engineering degree or equivalent, with typically 2+ years relevant experience.
Strong analysis, judgement, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make decisions and recommendations in a changing and dynamic environment.
Ability to work well within a team with flexibility in approach, including a strong ability to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines.
Encompass strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on high quality report writing and ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
