Job Description Title – Python Software Engineer
Base - Up to £85,000 + benefits
Location – London
Flexibility – Hybrid (3x week in office)

Role Summary
As a Python Software Engineer, you will be joining their technology team working on new products as the company embarks on their next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the other members of the tech team to build high-impact solutions.
Work across their whole tech stack, including backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
Champion best practices to deliver well-tested, robust software that always delivers.
Contribute to the ongoing development of their systems’ architecture.
Collaborate with product, design and business owners to solve problems, test hypotheses, and develop new features for their customers.

Required Experience
Mastery of Python and its web development frameworks (Django, Flask).
Experience working with relational databases, preferably MySQL.
Some experience in frontend development (Javascript, HTML5, CSS3).
A strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: version control (git), OOP, unit and integration testing.

Desirable Experience
Experience developing within a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
Experience with containerisation and DevOps principles, including Docker and CI/CD.
A solid understanding of modern web system architecture.
