High Growth SME within Personal Care & Cosmetics
Central London (Hybrid working 2 days a week office based)
Up to £120,000 Per annum + Benefits (Car allowance, Bonus, Healthcare, Pension, Life insurance and Holiday).

A prominent Global SME operating in the Personal Care & Cosmetics sector is actively looking to appoint an EMEA Finance Director to strengthen their team.

As the EMEA Finance Director, you will be responsible for leading accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure the accuracy of regional financial statements in compliance with governing regulations. You will manage budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and planning, while also supporting regional strategy development and implementation as a member of the senior leadership team.

What will my accountabilities be?

Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the business, including statutory accounts, income statements, balance sheets, reports to stakeholders, and tax returns, collaborating with external auditors and professional service providers such as Corporate tax and VAT advisors.
Ensure alignment of the regional financial close cycle with global company standards.
Facilitate informed decision-making within the business by delivering accurate and timely financial information and analysis.
Lead the planning, development, and control of annual budgets and rolling forecasting.
Actively contribute to the development and execution of commercial strategy as a key member of the senior leadership team, working closely with the GM and sales leads.
Enhance Finance & Accounting policies and procedures to ensure the provision of relevant and precise financial information and analysis.
Implement effective cost control processes to optimize asset utilization.
Establish and uphold rigorous financial controls, conducting regular reviews to ensure adherence to company, legal, and international accounting standards, thereby achieving a punctual and accurate monthly close cycle.
Identify, analyse, and propose enhancements to the company's financial processes and practices.
Directly manage regional accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and financial planning processes, while also overseeing a small team.
Foster the professional development of team members through coaching, on-the-job training, and other tailored opportunities.
Provide support to Global HQ by assisting with international tax planning and structuring for overseas projects and investments.

A great candidate will have:

University graduate holding professional accounting qualifications (ICAEW, B.Com, ICMA, ACCA, CPA, etc.) with extensive financial management experience.
An extensive background within FMCG, Retail or Pharmaceutical industry (Ideally Personal Care, Cosmetics, Beauty)
Skilled in developing robust financial models for insightful business performance analysis and strategic planning.
Proven track record of facilitating business expansion into international markets by providing strategic financial support.
Demonstrated expertise in producing comprehensive financial reports, budgets, cost reports, and accurate financial forecasts on a routine basis, including specialized experience in financial reporting for European countries such as the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Profound knowledge and practical application of internal control structures compliant with Sarbanes Oxley or equivalent regulatory standards.
Proficient in utilizing industry-relevant Finance systems to optimize financial operations.
In-depth understanding of corporate governance principles and mastery of international economic variables, particularly adept in navigating foreign exchange and tax complexities such as transfer pricing.
Extensive experience in fostering and managing relationships with foreign corporate headquarters.
Possesses exceptional analytical prowess, effective communication skills, and adeptness in delivering impactful presentations.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, negotiation finesse, and a proven ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and sales-focused environments, adept at adapting to dynamic business landscapes.
Capable of effectively managing, coaching, and developing teams to maximize their potential.
