Cogent, an independent apprenticeship training provider to the science sector, has an exciting position for a Process & Manufacturing Assessor as part of our level-2/3 apprenticeship programmes

Job Purpose

To undertake effective competence assessment in the workplace, supporting apprentices undertaking the science manufacturing process operative level-2 and science manufacturing technician level-3 apprenticeships with gaps in their theoretic knowledge. To enthuse, inspire and motivate apprentices to reach their full potential and maintain timely progression, achievement, and success rates. To implement quality policies and practices ensuring fair and consistent assessment.

This role is subject to a full enhanced DBS check and online checks will take place for candidates who are shortlisted.

This role will entail some travel across England (predominantly in the South and South-East)

Knowledge Skills and Qualifications - Essential

•          Industry relevant qualification to a minimum of a level 3 (C&G / NVQ or equivalent).
•          Assessor qualification (TAQA/A Units or equivalent) or commitment to work towards.
•          Significant experience in a manufacturing, process or engineering related role.
•          Experience of assessing others work to a measured standard.
•          Continuous Professional Development.
•          Health & Safety, Safeguarding and E&D practices.

Remuneration Package

•    Salary between £32,500 to £37,500 per annum dependent on experience
•    Full time permanent role
