Job Description Environmental Advisor
Kent
Up to £45,000 per annum + £5k car allowance
Ganymede are working exclusively with a leading principal contractor in their search for an Environmental Advisor to join their team covering the Kent and Wessex region. Where you’ll have the opportunity to work on high profile projects across the UK!

The Role
Reporting to the Environment Manager you will be responsible for understand and determining the environmental deliverables of projects, and ensuring their integration into pre-contract, design, planning, construction, commissioning and hand back arrangements.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert, providing specialist environmental support to project delivery teams whilst also leading on inspections, audits and other assurance activities, identifying trends and recommending preventative measures to address non-conformances and opportunities for improvement.

About You
Experienced in the development, implementation and assurance of project specific environmental management plans with a particular focus on noise and vibration, biodiversity, carbon, waste and pollution prevention.
Experience of determining the need for, application of and compliance with environmental consents is essential, including liaising with regulatory authorities and clients.
Working knowledge of environmental and social contract requirements, standards and guidance would be advantageous, in addition to detailed knowledge of UK environmental legislation.

Requirements
You’ll be highly motivated Environmental Advisor with a proactive approach to ensure deadlines are met.
It is desired if you hold an environment or science-related degree or equivalent and be a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)
Ability to produce contract statistical environmental information and undertake environmental audits to ensure where necessary corrective plans are successfully developed and implemented.

Benefits
Depending on qualifications and experience a salary if up to £45,000 per annum is on offer, plus a company car/allowance, professional membership subscription, 26 days annual leave + bank holidays, matched pension scheme of 5%
