Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Engineer at Paramount Structures Ltd. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing calculations, conducting structural analysis, and designing structures. They will also collaborate with clients and architects, so need to be good with people in general. We have a vast array of analysis and design software for complex structures and use finite analysis daily, for mass timber, concrete, steel, light gauge steel, glass and aluminum. We have always had a strong understanding in timber frame, sips, oak frame and just about anything that can be drawn or imagined. This role is primarily located in Edinburgh but allows for some remote work. We also have an office in the Cotswold's (Moreton in Marsh), which is always in close contact with our Edinburgh one. We have recently experienced rapid growth and therefore have numerous roles for engineers of different abilities and experience. No graduates required just now though as we have plenty. Candidates with experience using Masterseries, TEDDS, Dlubal RFEM, Scia Engineer, Idea Statica will definitely have an advantage.

Qualifications
Must have a UK work visa
Strong background in calculations and structural analysis
Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Experience in structural engineering and designing various structures
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is a plus
