Job Description OFFICE BASED JOB IN HARROGATE, NORTH YORKSHIRE
Pays £33k per annum plus healthy commissions.

Main Responsibilities:-

Generate sales leads
Create Customs declarations ensuring correct codes / schemes used for both import & export.
Create transit documents and ensure Customs compliant.
Prepare all paperwork for export, including raising airway bills.
Liaise with customers and suppliers to obtain relevant paperwork.
Arrange transport for both international and domestic from start to finish, updating on status and final POD.
Cost and provide quotes for all enquiries, offering advice on transit and Customs formalities.
Deal with any Border Force enquiries.
Finalise file checking charges in preparation for invoicing.

Competencies/Personal Requirements/Experience: -

5 years’ experience in a customs environment.
5 years’ experience in a sales environment.
Experience of imports and exports.
Good understanding of customs systems.
Good interpersonal communication skills including the ability to work within a team and interact across the Group.
A logical approach to problem solving is essential.
Ability to develop and build relationships both internally and externally.
Strong customer focussed attributes.
The ability to understand business and customer requirements and find solutions.
Good general IT skills and understanding and a good knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
Ability to work independently, using own initiative, remotely and outside of normal office hours.
Be flexible when required and work within a changing environment.
