Lead Structural Designer in Aberdeen - Global E&C

Job Description Global E&C are looking for an experienced Lead Structural Designer for a staff opportunity in Aberdeen.

This is a key role to ensure structural design activities are delivered in alignment with Global E&Cs integrated delivery model. You will be accountable for estimating, coordinating the preparation of design deliverables, managing delivery, and maintaining technical excellence for your allocated team/project portfolio.

Your regular duties will include:
Supervising and providing support to Structural Designers.
Producing, checking and approving structural deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
Preparing & checking materials take-offs and bill of materials.
Undertaking offshore surveys and creating survey reports.
Assisting in the preparation of CTR estimates.
Providing technical input during detailed engineering of projects if requested.
Contributing to the development of structural designers.

To be successful in this role you will ideally be able to demonstrate:
Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry and ONC in engineering or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
Demonstrable competence in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and ReCap software.
Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Relevant offshore mandatory requirements (Survival, Medical, MIST, EBS, etc.)
