Job Description Group Chief Operating Officer – Net Zero, Decarbonisation and Sustainability Services

Committed to excellence and client satisfaction, they are seeking a highly skilled Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and drive operational excellence, strategic growth, and client-centric service delivery.

Role Overview:
As the COO, you will be responsible for managing the delivery function for the Group spanning Consulting, Engineering, and Managed Services. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's strategic vision while overseeing operational functions to ensure seamless service delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate with senior leadership to optimise operational performance, manage risk, and drive growth through acquisitions, product development, and expansion initiatives.

On offer is up to £160,000 + package

Key Responsibilities:
Partner with ELT to execute corporate strategy and enhance operational efficiency to drive shareholder value.
Support the CEO and ELT in formulating Key Performance Indicators for each Division and Operational Business Unit to track performance against internal and external service level agreements on a monthly basis
Oversee daily operational delivery across divisions, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and quality standards.
Collaborate with technology teams to integrate IT solutions into service offerings and support multi-disciplinary projects.
Work closely with sales and account management teams to embed a sales governance process ensuring seamless handovers of projects and maintain high client satisfaction levels.
Support integration of acquisitions and drive financial and commercial performance.
Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across service delivery teams based on structured transparent communications and impact-oriented values.
Produce the necessary operational reports to support the CEO and CFO in communicating to all major stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Shareholders, Investors and banking partners.

Personal Skills and Key Competencies:
Proven experience as an Operations Director or COO in a relevant sector.
Track record of contributing to commercial success and developing senior management teams.
Experience in assessing, executing, and integrating acquisitions.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Structured approach with a focus on delivery and achievement.
Ability to manage fast-moving businesses with rapid mobilisations at scale.
Ethical and professional conduct with high standards of integrity.
