Job Description Summary
We’re recruiting for a Learning Experience Designer to join our team on a permanent basis.

We’re specifically looking for someone who has experience working closely with stakeholders to understand their concepts and ideas, and then designing and developing engaging e-learning courses based on those concepts.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in instructional design and a passion for creating high-quality, engaging and effective eLearning courses.

Learning Experience Designers provide technical support for our Learning Management Systems and act as ambassadors, promoting and supporting the use of technology enabled learning in the National Trust.

You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the learning experience of our people: ensuring that the content is presented in a clear and memorable way, with meaningful interaction and compelling course content.

Additionally, you will be involved in ongoing evaluation and improvement of our courses, making any necessary updates and amendments to ensure they remain relevant and impactful.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing
You'll create eLearning courses, explaining concepts clearly alongside engaging visual design and will see concepts through to development, implementation and deliver customer support upon delivery.

You’ll assess learning content and design or recommend learning across varied formats, from simple text-based materials to video and animation.

Additionally, you’ll offer administration support for our learning management systems, utilising your troubleshooting abilities to address and resolve problems, while also guiding and assisting learners with the systems.

Who we're looking for

• Experience in designing and developing eLearning - continually problem-solving, devising inventive and creative solutions.
• Knowledge of visual design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite or PowerPoint.
• A background in applying tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
• A track record of reviewing training evaluations to ensure we're continually improving our learning solutions.
• Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
