Groups and Events Consultant in London - Gecko Travel Recruitment

Job Description We are excited to be working with this wonderful Travel business who are seeking a Groups and Events Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis.

As Groups and Events Consultant you will develop and maintain strong and lasting client relationships through the delivery of exceptional service, and by doing so, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Previous experience using Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre GDS is essential to be considered for this role.

The role:
Be the first point of contact with regards to all groups and events travel enquiries
Completing individual and group booking for air, rail, hotels and other ground arrangements
Putting together client proposals ensuring they are consistent, relevant, accurate and commercially viable
Ongoing maintenance of client relationships
Providing an outstanding service to clients at all times

You will have:
Minimum 2 years experience working for a Tour Operator or Travel agency
Good working knowledge of Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre GDS
Ability to attend supplier events
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure and have a 'common sense' approach to problem solving

Additional Information:
Salary £26-30,000 depending on location and experience
