Job Description Settlements Analyst
Type: Full-time
Location: London, UK

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Operators to finalize AR and AP invoicing, meticulously reviewing contracts, INCOTERMS, inspection reports, and other pertinent cargo documentation.
Utilize the trading system (Allegro) to generate and reconcile invoices, ensuring timely transmission to counterparties, monitoring payments, and conducting necessary follow-ups.
Address discrepancies promptly, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate payment processing.
Prepare comprehensive statements of accounts tailored to specific business customers.
Support invoice administration by ensuring the accurate and punctual filing of invoices in the tracker.
Produce ad-hoc reports from Sun Systems for both internal and external use on a periodic basis.
Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation, comparing end-of-month statements with trade and accounting systems.
Aid in the digital filing of essential trade documents for internal and external purposes.
Offer insights to enhance processes, particularly within the East Africa business line, and assist in the implementation of PFI generation from the trading system.
Gather requisite documentation for Audits and Financial Statements.
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned and contribute to special projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English/Spanish is advantageous.
5+ years of experience in an accounting role.
Familiarity with trading systems; experience with Allegro is a plus.
Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines consistently.
Dynamic, collaborative team player with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and adept problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with management at all levels.
High regard for confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
Flexibility to work occasional flexible hours as needed.
