Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Web Developer, who will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of web-based tools and platforms that support the Football Manager data ecosystem.
Leveraging your expertise in both frontend and backend technologies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive forward development and deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end development of our API plus some other smaller web applications, ensuring seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including our Online Research Database (ORDB) team and UI/UX designers.
Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as React.js or Angular.
Implement interactive data visualisations and features to enhance user engagement.
Design, implement, and maintain robust back-end systems to handle large volumes of football data.
Develop APIs and integrate third-party services to enrich the application's functionality.
Design and optimise databases to store and retrieve football-related data, always with performance and optimisation in mind.
Identify poorly performing queries and implement fixes.
Work closely with Tech services to ensure security best practice around data protection, authentication, and authorisation. Conducting regular security audits and addressing vulnerabilities promptly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Extensive expertise as a Full Stack Developer. Knowledge of football data and passion for sports analytics is a big plus.
Experience with PHP, Laravel plus MySQL and NoSQL DB skills.
Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies such as React.js, Node.js, Typescript or equivalent.
Competent in navigating around an Azure backend, with some knowledge of Bicep.
Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
Git and Linux experience is a bonus.
