We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Manager - Complex Care to join our team!

Role Responsibilities:

To provide operational leadership and line management to the college complex care team
To monitor the quality of care provided across the residential complex care provision
To support in ensuring all care delivered is person-centred
To act as a role model, demonstrate evidence-based care delivery, providing and ensuring high standards of care is consistently delivered
To support with student transitions
To provide supervision/staff appraisals to the complex care team
Using expert communication skills to engage with vulnerable students
Interpret and understand behaviour and evidence-based outcomes to support with the development individual behaviour support plans
Liaise with members of the MDT both internal and external, chairing MDT meetings, as required
To attend and contribute to student reviews or meetings and communicating appropriate information as required.
To work closely with college admissions team to undertake assessments of students with complex care needs and provide expert advice
To advocate on behalf of people with learning disabilities to ensure they access mainstream services where appropriate
To undertake audits and compliance checks and gather evidence for CQC compliance. Ensure any action plans are implemented in a timely manner
To lead/contribute to organisation learning reviews, as required

Person Specification:

Extensive experience and proven success of working in a similar role with young people with complex care needs
Ideally the successful candidate would have a NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or the equivalent.
Experience of working within Multidisciplinary service/team
Experience of undertaking line management or supervision of staff
To act as a role model and mentor other members of the MDT
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Ability to manage several projects at once and the ability to work within time limits

Salary range - depending on qualifications and experience - £34,500 to £38,000
