Responsibilities:
Lead in the architectural design and technical direction for software-defined network initiatives, focusing on the development of a network operating system and optimising Layers 2-3 initially.
Drive alignment among various stakeholders on network requirements, ensuring optimal design choices that cater to business goals and technical specifications.
Actively identify areas of technical debt and spearhead continuous improvement efforts by collaborating with associated teams.
Provide deep technical expertise in evaluating emerging networking technologies and their potential impacts on the organisation’s future network infrastructure.
Lead proof-of-concept projects for next-generation networking, working closely with strategic partners, including the Office of the CTO, to generate actionable insights that influence technology adoption and implementation strategies.
Function as a key liaison for internal and external communication, fostering relationships with customers, partners, and industry forums, while engaging with open-source and developer communities to enhance collaborative innovation.
