Technical Sales Representative
Our client, a specialist supplier of Radiation Monitoring Systems, are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position, based in Sandhurst. In this role, you will be on the road 3 days per week, visiting customers in the South of England. For the remaining 2 days, you will be located in the Sandhurst office.
Core hours: 08:30 – 17:00, 40 hours per week.
Role Purpose:
The Technical Sales Representative will promote and sell products and services to new and existing customers. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle including the technical demonstration of products to After Sales Support.
Ideally, candidates will have knowledge of Radiological Instrumentation or Scientific Instrumentation, however, training will be provided over the course of the first few months of employment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Drive sales and revenue to support the continued growth of the business.
* Managing existing clients and delivering new business.
* Proactively building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
* On the road 3 days a week undertaking customer visits and demonstrations.
* Managing customer’s expectations throughout pre & post-sales.
* Using CRM on a day-to-day basis.
* Learning the technology used.
* Working closely both internally and with the business’s partners, to ensure the execution of the company objectives to the highest possible level.
* Assist with technical support enquiries.
* Acting as an ambassador.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Minimum of 3+ years of experience in sales.
* Knowledge of radiological instrumentation or scientific instrumentation is desirable, but not essential.
* Interpersonal skills with good business acumen.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a problem-solving approach.
* Working comfortably within a small team.
* Ability to build long-term business relationships.
* Excellent telephone skills.
* Good level of listening skills.
* Degree in Physics or a similar scientific discipline is preferable but not essential.
* Sharp negotiation and time-management skills.
* Confident understanding of the sales process.
