Senior Buyer

The Company:
If you are an experienced and confident Buyer who is used to working independently within a busy engineering or manufacturing environment: then look no further!  This Exeter manufacturer form part of a large, international business supplying products to the automotive industry.  The Senior Buyer will report directly to the global purchasing manager, in a varied and interesting role.
 
Job Responsibilities:

To achieve timely delivery and supply of production materials to the manufacturing team, whilst maintaining targeted inventory turn performance.
Main point of contact and relationship manager for a key supplier.
Negotiating cost and lead times with suppliers, communicating material demand to suppliers, effectively managing demand fluctuations.
Negotiating cost and lead times with suppliers and expediting materials
Overall ownership of a key supplier relationships.
Maintain key MRP system data  
Preferred Skills:
You will be a seasoned Buyer within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Confident user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and ideally adept in MRP
CIPS Level 4 or above preferred (not essential)
Good communication skills to both internal & external customers/suppliersAssociated Benefits:

Hours 8.30-5.30 M-F with a 3pm finish on a Friday
