My client is a pioneering agricultural machinery manufacturer based in Newmarket. My client is looking to bring a skilled Welder onboard and be part of the team in Newmarket.

(Welder) - Position Overview

Responsible for assisting the team to ensure the production schedule is on target and high levels of quality outputs are being maintained by performing key responsibilities.
Welding all components of the machine the team are building.
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, including MIG and the occasional TIG welding processes.
Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding and shaping metal components.
Inspect welded joints for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications.
Collaborate with engineering team to resolve any issues or discrepancies in fabrication plans.
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

(Welder) - Position Requirements

Experience in MIG welding, ranging from 10mm to 25mm thickness.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Having TIG experience is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding symbols.

(Welder) - Position Remuneration

£13 - £15 per hour
Overtime paid at time and a quarter
8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
30 days holiday including bank holidays
