Graduate Trainee Accountant with Study Support

Our clients are a boutique firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors with a sister business in Gibraltar offering consultancy services.

They are professional, agile, customer-centric and their goal is to build on their enviable reputation for providing excellent advice and first class service to their business and personal clients alike.

Due to expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual at the start of their career ready for training with exposure from all areas in a practice in a structured but less formal environment.

The company will sponsor study towards ACCA.

You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active and a self confident professional, organised and able to work to strict deadlines. A recent graduate with a 2:1 or above degree is desirable.

Key responsibilities but not solely limited to:

- With supervision, assist in preparing year end accounts and tax returns

- Prepare VAT returns and management accounts

- Use of cloud accounting software such as Xero, Dext and Quickbooks

- Payroll preparation and submission including pension submission and advising clients on auto-enrolment

- Effective communication with clients ensuring their queries are answered

- Liaising with HMRC when required
