About the Role:

As an Accountant reporting directly to the Director, you'll play a vital role in our Finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting bank reconciliations with precision
Managing our Sage system efficiently
Compiling quarterly management accounts for insightful analysis
Handling customer direct debit submissions seamlessly
Issuing sales invoices and statements accurately
Coordinating customer credit insurance matters
Generating detailed, timely, and accurate financial reports
Overseeing Accounts Payable and ensuring timely payments
Maintaining our accounting system for consistency and accuracy
Processing monthly payroll and benefits
Preparing and submitting VAT quarterly
Escalating finance and accounting issues when necessary
Upholding existing accounting systems and standardsExperience and Qualifications:

We're looking for a candidate with:

Qualification as an Accountant or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role (QBE, ACA, ACCA)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Prior experience with Sage Payroll
Proven track record of implementing and enhancing systems and processesPerson Specification:
