Location: Sleaford, Lincolnshire
Salary: £33,600
Working Hours: Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and call out (all paid in addition to salary)

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Facilities Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis due to growth located at their RAF Cranwell (Sleaford) depot.

As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working alongside the military on and around an active Military Airfield, providing support and ensuring a suitable legal and functional environment for the future military pilots with a Whole Force approach – Tri Service regular military, civil servants, and contractors, all working as one, working together seamlessly to deliver.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to day, you will play a leading role in the delivery of all hard facilities management services and associated contract outputs. This will include the identification and implementation of a suitable regime to achieve and maintain legal compliance on all building systems including:

Heating and Ventilation
F Gas
Lifts
Industrial Doors
Water Systems
Chiller Plant
Pressure systems
Alarm systems
Water Systems
Fixed Electrical systems
Lighting Systems

The post holder will be required to produce reports & records of maintenance and keep computer aided systems updated.
The post holder will implement the business unit’s safe system of work and manage the supply chain to ensure they achieve excellent safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications:
Recognised Engineering qualifications, relevant experience (mechanical or electrical bias) City & Guilds/ or equivalent. Such as:

Heating and ventilation Level 2 & 3 NVQ Diplomas
Electrical Minimum Complete the City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & 3 Diploma
Plumbing - Plumbing and Domestic Heating 6189 Level 2 &3 Diploma
H&S training (such as IOSH)
Full UK Driving License (Manual pool car available for on call or Fuel allowance available for those on call equally)
In addition to having experience and knowledge of:

IT Literate (Microsoft Package e.g., Outlook, Word & Excel).
Clear understanding of the importance of H&S procedures.
Excellent telephone manner and face-to-face client liaison skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Customer service focused
