Job Description

Service Care Solutions are looking for a Partner Liaison Officer to work within North Wales Police on a 10-month contract.

Location: St Asaph

Job role/responsibilities:
Supporting North Wales Police in achieving its objectives by working together with Force personnel and partner agencies to ensure compliance with legislation, national guidance, locally agreed policies, procedures and working practices in the business areas of Public Protection.

To appropriately represent NWP at multiagency meetings under the Wales Safeguarding Procedures for adults and children.
Complete research from police systems/PND/PNC as required and share information within the meeting as required.
Where appropriate, to complete strategy discussions with partner agencies in relation to referrals including those from outside agencies to agree strategies and actions for the safeguarding of vulnerable people.
To review referrals and risk assessments ensuring that appropriate actions and sharing has been conducted with partner agencies.
To ensure that crimes identified within referrals and meetings are highlighted in order that they may recorded and investigated appropriately.
Where further action is required with regards to joint investigations, liaise with the relevant PVPU office for progression.
To consistently apply policy and Approved Professional Practice (APP) in relation to Child Protection and Abuse Investigation.
To maintain compliance with statutory rProtwequirements in relation to information management including the Data Protection Act 1998, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Code of Practice on Management of Police Information 2005, as appropriate.Knowledge/Experience required:

Knowledge and understanding of guidance on all Public Protection Unit issues and a sound and accurate working knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures.
Experience in working within the area of protecting vulnerable persons with partner agencies / organisations.
Demonstrate sound decision-making skills.
Experience in criminal investigations.
Be able to take an innovative and creative approach to solving problems.
Be proactive and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills.Qualifications required:
