Assistant/Quantity Surveyor

Warwickshire AND East Midlands

What are we looking for?

A regional contractor specialising in framework projects are seeking a diligent and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that costs are effectively controlled, and budgets are maintained within agreed parameters. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within their framework agreements, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects.

The Package

Dependent upon experience a salary of up to £55k plus package is on offer for the right person as well as excellent progression and training opportunities.

About you

You will be a detailed orientated Quantity Surveyor who will be ready to step up and start running their own jobs soon or an Assistant QS who can fit in with our already experienced commercial team. Ideally you will have exposure to framework, refurb projects typically consisting of schools and hospitals etc and be familiar with NEC contracts and be fully confident in all aspects of the QS role from cost estimation to tender preparation and contract administration.

We are ideally looking for:

Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information.
Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
