Thermal Engineer in Stevenage - CV-Library

My client, a world leader in the defence sector, requires a Thermal Engineer to join them in Stevenage and work as part of a team on thermal engineering and analysis solutions for their missile and weapon systems, helping to shape the development of their thermal analysis capabilities.
 
Thermal Engineer
 
The Thermal Engineer will:

Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate system and component performance.
Collaborate with other teams to determine thermal requirements and develop solutions.
Design and optimise thermal management systems for extreme environment operation.
Perform testing and validation to verify performance of thermal solutions.
Offer technical expertise and support to internal and external teams. 
To be considered or this role, applicants will need to be degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject, with previous experience in a role involving thermal analysis or problem solving.  You will have good problem-solving skills coupled with a sound fundamental knowledge of heat transfer analysis using computational methods and manual calculations, including experience applying CAE tools (e.g. ANSYS, MATLAB, Python) to investigate heat transfer problems.
Motivated individual who is organised and has strong interpersonal skills.
 
In addition, the following would be beneficial:

A post-graduate qualification in a subject relevant to the role.
Experience of leading and managing small teams in the delivery of projects.
Knowledge and experience of methods for managing the thermal performance and validation of mechanical and electronic systems.
