Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Kidderminster - £40,000.

Our client is at the forefront of propulsion manufacturing. With operations spanning across the UK and France, and boasting an annual turnover of £100M and nearly 700 staff. They're currently seeking permanent Multi-Skilled Engineers to join their team in Kidderminster.

Summary of Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will utilise your mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to maintain and optimise the performance of their plant and equipment. Your role will involve providing flexible support to production requirements and factory services through fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance, and mechanical/electrical installation.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all statutory Safety, Health, and Environment requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, root causes of failures, and spares/consumables used.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient production performance.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to schedules.
Diagnose and rectify faults on all plant and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
Identify root causes of asset faults and improve asset performance and reliability.
Provide a rapid response to plant breakdowns while adhering to company procedures and standards.
Mentor and train new apprentices in maintenance disciplines.

Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
Recognised electrical and mechanical qualifications.
Time-served Mechatronics apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Proven experience in maintenance engineering with high standards of electrical and mechanical understanding.
Expertise in fault diagnosis, rectification processes, and planned and corrective maintenance activities.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
Experience with Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
Desirable:
Knowledge of health and safety processes.
Understanding of Quality Operating Systems procedures.
Familiarity with environmental controls and practices.
18th Edition BS7671 certification and 2391/52 inspection and testing qualification.
PLC programming and fault-finding experience.
