Robot Programmer

Key Responsibilities:
This role is at the cutting edge of next generation automated manufacturing in Automotive and you will need to assist in developing multiple programs for automated assembly applications particularly in respect of new product introduction.
Spend time off site with relevant supplier to support programs (example new launches)
Help manage and develop programs throughout build phases
Work with the suppliers on the design and maturation of automated equipment
Assist with design reviews of production and help steer design for manufacture
Contacts-interface with (internal/external) all customers and suppliers at all levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team player with a high level of personal integrity
Assess quality of product against standard
Assist with the development of PFMEAs, control plans and SOIs
Generation of TPM
Back up and maintenance of programs
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve control issues and/or respond to problems
Manage, maintain, and configure all software relating to PLC, Robotics, DC Tooling, Welders, Sorion etc..
Adhere to IAC HSE Policies and procedures at all times

Preferred skills and experience:
Degree in Mechatronics / Automation / Robotics desirable
Minimum of 5 years' experience working in Robotics within a 1st tier automotive supplier, preferably within a just in time environment
Experience in Nachi robotic programming desirable but any make considered as training will also be given
Experience of AIVs advantageous (MIR, Omron)
Understanding of offline programming techniques and software
Experience with interior plastics trim advantageous
ISO9001 / IATF16949
Understanding of Six sigma / Lean methodologies
Computer literate with MS Project
Auto CAD advantageous
