Science Solutions are looking to recruit a Quality Configuration Control Engineer for a global composite materials manufacturer based on their Heanor facility.

To be considered for this position as a Quality Configuration Control Engineer you must possess significant industrial experience in a similar position that encompasses quality configuration in the Aerospace industry. Any applicant must have experience in working with AS9100 Rev D and ISO9001 QMS.

As a Quality Configuration Control Engineer, you will become part of a new global team to assist in reviewing changes, controlling documents, managing quality-based projects and develop specification review processes by liaising with customers.

Role responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage specification reviews processes and the associated change management across multiple sites.
Actively review and develop a robust specification review management process.
Develop and standardise a global specification review.
Help to improve customer satisfaction levels.
Reduce costs of poor quality and minimise quality risks.
Collaborate with engineering, account management, quality and production sites across multiple sites internally.
Lead quality risk assessments and audits.
Travel up to 30% within the first couple of years.
Role requirements

Bachelors educated as a minimum in an engineering discipline or scientific subject.  
Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 essential, any familiarity of NADCAP or IATF16949 highly desirable.
Understanding and knowledge of six sigma tools including 5S, process control MSA, continuous improvement or Gauge.
Previous experience in a similar role that involves liaising with customers on a regular basis
