We have a great opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join our Procurement team and lead our efforts in securing the best prices and terms for our raw materials and packaging. As a Buyer at Vitacress Herbs, you'll play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Your Key Responsibilities would be:

To source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for raw materials and packaging.
Managing the purchasing process from start to finish, including placing orders and tracking inventory levels.
Collaborating with inventory management teams to ensure optimal levels of raw material inventory.
Coordinating with the production team to plan and schedule material deliveries.
Monitoring supplier performance and manage relationships with key suppliers.
Developing and then implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the procurement process.
To conduct market research to identify new suppliers and assess the competitiveness of existing suppliers.To be our next Buyer here at Vitacress you will be a confident self-starter, taking ownership of tasks and have a proven track record in the procurement of raw material (it would be ideal if you had experience working with fresh produce too). You’ll have strong negotiation skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with your suppliers and would be a huge advantage if you are able to speak Italian or Spanish too. You’ll have an eye for detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This role is a full time, permanent position working 40 hours per week,  based at our beautiful Herbs site in Runcton, Chichester. For this role we will be offering a starting salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience and also  offer a wide range of benefits, to include an incentive bonus, pension scheme and further benefits listed below:
