HGV Class 2 Driver in Bridgend - Manpower

Manpower is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver to work for our public sector client.
Location: Bridgend
Contract: Temporary
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5.45 am - 1.30 pm
Hourly rate: £11.45 (NHS Band 2)
The role
You will assist with the distribution of goods and supplies from the depot in Bridgend to various multiple locations across Wales.
Responsibilities of a Driver
To deliver stock and supplies from the depot to various locations across Wales.
Unloading and loading of metal cages (handballing)
To know and understand the scheduled delivery routes that have been allocated.
Comply with the road transport legislation.
Accurately record each delivery and collection according to current work instructions
Comply with driving performance systems and execute daily/weekly vehicle checks.
Previous experience of driving a Class 2 vehicle

Essential requirements:
Valid Class 2 Licence - Category C required
Valid CPC & Tachograph Digi Card required
Experience of driving a Class 2 vehicle
Ability to be able to load and unload the vehicle
A good understanding of current commercial transport legislation
The role offers an immediate start subject to satisfactory references and DBS check is required. Manpower pay for the cost of a DBS check.
