Job Description

UK City Resources Ltd is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager for our client based in Surrey, to head up and develop their sales provision. They are steadily growing company in terms of sectors, services, and clients. They currently specialise in education but are looking at developing other sectors. As Business Development Manager, office based ,you will be responsible for proactively building relationships with new clients. The ideal Business Development Manager will have experience in a similar role with demonstrable revenue growth ability.

Responsibilities:

* Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients, ensuring the pipeline of new business is constantly evolving.

* Show a proactive attitude, contacting potential clients via telephone and being confident in cold calling and following up on initial calls.

* Research new innovations within the industry, being mindful of competitor activities.

* Take the ownership of the company's CRM database ensuring accurate and meaningful records of sales activity.

* Liaise with Operations teams to propose new business ideas that can benefit the company and its clients.

* Help to create solutions-based outcomes for clients, providing excellent customer service.

Skills required.

* Experience in selling soft services to new clients.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Strong written communication and numeracy skills are important.

* An excellent understanding of the sales process

* Financially motivated

* Demonstrable track record

* Lead & own all aspects of costing and pricing for the company on new business.

* Good operational knowledge in commercial cleaning services is essential.

* An energetic individual who is passionate about the services they sell

* Must be able to build strong relationships with existing and new clients as well as collaborate with the Management team to help drive sales to hit targets.

* Must have an abundance of enthusiasm and determination, to ensure you can capitalise on the opportunity and achieve the potential rewards the role has to offer.

* Most of your sales will be focused on new business so you must be a motivated self-starter.

* Able to self-generate new leads.

* Ability to hit the ground running and want to achieve high financial reward.

Essentials

* Minimum two years' experience within the commercial facilities sector

* Proven experience of working with the cleaning sector, although experience selling other soft services may be relevant.

* Proven experience of developing and increasing business
