Job Description

Our client is a national Tier 1 main contracting client who operate within the Water, Highways, Rail, and Energy sectors. They have an opportunity for a MEICA Manager to join their team on an existing design and build water treatment five-year programme with their client Severn Trent Water.

The role ensures that all planning aspects are carried out in accordance with the contract, company policies and procedures, and to the satisfaction of the customer and/or contract leader.

This role is based with the West Midlands region with a flexible approach with the requirement to do site visits along with some home working. You will be joining a growing team with a strong reputation in the UK Construction industry.

Responsibilities:

* Client facing role requiring the individual to discuss and negotiate complex MEICA issues with the client and formulate credible solutions in a professional and collaborative manner.

* Leading a team of technical M&E engineers with all of the included duties across both mechanical and electrical systems.

* Carry out quality assessment of the design works to ensure that at the design stage of the project, risk assessment in accordance with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulation was taken into consideration.

* Assisting and advising on the production of engineering design and detail in accordance with employers’ specifications and quality management system.

* Assisting with the appointment of sub-contractors and reviewing their technical capabilities.

* Procure, Plan and Manage MEICA installation and commissioning activities.

Experience:

* Preferably experience within the water treatment industry.

* Experience of integrating new equipment into an existing wastewater treatment works. Experience of Sludge treatment processes and/or Thermal Hydrolysis would be an advantage.

* Proven Competence in the full spectrum of MEICA installation and commissioning either by academic or apprenticeship routes.

* A working Knowledge of the principles of the NEC 3 forms of contract through experience and formal training.

* Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS / IOSH).

* A proven ability to organise and manage multiple tasks and a diverse team
