Machine Shop Engineer in Stourbridge - ASC Connections Ltd

A globally renowned manufacturer of high-precision machined components is now seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. This well-established business has consistently maintained a steady workload through all the peaks and troughs of British manufacturing, but they are now experiencing a continued steady increase.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be tasked with maintaining a variety of CNC Machines within their main machine shop, providing PPM (Planned & Preventative Maintenance) solutions to Milling, lathes, drill and vertical CNC machinery.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -
Providing electrical/mechanical maintenance for Machine Shop, including CNC mills and lathes
Working with manually operated drills, millers, lathes, grinders and polishers
Assembling components from mechanical / engineering drawings
Adhering to PPM / TPM schedules and responsive reaction to breakdowns
Installation and commissioning of new equipment/machinery
To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will -
Have experience working in a machine shop / CNC environment or in a hands-on CNC role
Have a recognised electrical qualification
Ideally have CNC programming experience (Fanuc, Siemens)
Have competence in reading and understanding engineering drawings and instructions
On offer -
A basic salary of £35-40K
A weekly rotating shift pattern: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
Overtime paid at time + 1/3 midweek and Saturday, time + ½ Sunday
33 days holiday, including bank holidays
Internal and external training is provided as well as on the job coaching, with the intention of promoting you to supervisor and eventually manager level within the next three years.
