Main Duties
To support the clinical lead in developing systems and processes for the delivery of retrospective NHS Continuing Healthcare policy.
To work autonomously in managing a caseload of patients as directed and to accept case coordinator responsibilities.
Contribute to the panel as a member or present cases to panel as appropriate. The post holder will make operational judgements and attempt to resolve conflicting views/ reconcile inter/intra professional differences of option.
Requirements
You will be a Band 6 RGN,that is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). It is essential you have experience of undertaking retrospective CHC assessments working understanding of PUPOC and responsible commissioner guidance. Also an excellent understanding and working knowledge of National Framework of NHS Continuing Healthcare and relevant assessment and decision making tools including Standards and Regulations.
It is essential that you work within codes of practice and professional guidelines and be able to communicate health issues effectively and courageously.
You must currently be living in the UK, have effective communication skills, excellent attendance record as well as the ability to work under pressure. Additionally, it is essential that you have a minimum of 6 months previous work experience within acute healthcare setting with the ability to provide 2 professional references are essential.
