Job Description

Mott MacDonald Bentley are seeking a talented and experienced person to provide technical leadership for their Digital Design (BIM) teams and work on exciting projects within the UK Water Sector.
As the Principal Digital Design (BIM) Leader for MMB, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and driving digital delivery and BIM strategies across a wide range of water-related projects.
You will provide technical leadership for over 50 Digital Design (BIM) Technicians in the UK and more in our Global Design Service to drive BIM best practice across all our frameworks.
You will will work closely with the Design Managers and the Head of Digital Delivery on a mix of project work and driving innovation and adoption of digital delivery and BIM, in collaboration with our global Digital Delivery Practice which connects MMB to the wider Mott MacDonald Group.

Key responsibilities:
Project Implementatio n: Oversee the successful integration of BIM methodologies and technologies on multi-disciplinary projects. Provide guidance and support to project teams in adopting BIM workflows, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols.
Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of the latest BIM, and associated technologies, tools, platforms and software. Evaluate their potential benefits and lead the adoption of suitable solutions to optimise project delivery.
Standards strategy : Ensure adherence to BIM standards and best practices, both internally within Mott MacDonald Bentley and externally with clients and partners. Implement quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of BIM deliverables. Develop strategies to fill gaps in company standards and staff capabilities.
Training and Development: Identify BIM skill gaps within the company and encourage continuous learning and knowledge sharing among team members.
Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their BIM requirements and demonstrate the value of BIM in enhancing project outcomes. Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive successful project delivery.
Industry Engagement: Represent Mott MacDonald Bentley at relevant industry forums, conferences, and events to share expertise, stay updated on industry trends, and network with potential collaborators and clients.
Candidate Specification:
Proven experience (typically 10-15+ years) in successfully leading BIM implementation, ideally on water-related projects.
Extensive experience of delivering with Autodesk technology (Revit/Plant 3D/Civil 3D) ideally on water, or wastewater, treatment and infrastructure projects. You will enjoy using the tools to enhance project delivery.
Understanding of information management as set out in ISO 19650.
Experience of working in a Common Data Environment platforms (ProjectWise, BIM360, ACC, SharePoint) and managing BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to provide technical guidance and coaching to teams.
Passion for driving innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration.
You will be expected to spend time in each of our / our client's offices each month to get to know the different design teams we have across the business

This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald.
Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald.
Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.
This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
