Assembly Supervisor (Metals) in Coulsdon East - Staffbase Recruitment

Our client is an established manufacturing company and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Assembly Supervisor.
The Role:
The Assembly Supervisor will be will be responsible for supervising a small team of assembly and machine operatives in a busy finishing area.
Adopting a 'hands-on' approach the Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for the following;
Ensure production runs are completed on time and to required specifications / quality
Planning / scheduling / prioritising work
Training and supervision of a small team of assembly and machine operatives
Manage stock levels of materials and components as required
Assist with setting up machines e.g. spot welders, grinders, presses and more
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
Candidate:
You will have previous experience in a metal assembly / finishing environment and you will have at least 3 years supervisory experience.
Applicants will have good mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Experience in operating fly presses, bushing machines and hand tools is a required.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm (39 hours)
