Job Description

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Our client is a multibillion turnover EPC / OEM who have experienced stellar growth over the past few years, with the European market becoming a critical focus. Within their core European markets, they are currently executing approximately 30 projects with values ranging from £5m to £500m.

Germany is currently the most critical location within the European business driven by four €500m offshore projects and 2 onshore already secured, and more in the pipeline.

TASKS

Part of the German leadership team and work closely with the European Project Director as LS set up their European PMO office.
Supervise the execution of projects (4 offshore/onshore and 2 onshore projects)
Lead and build out the German project team fostering cross-functional collaboration, definition of the project execution approach and supervision of the project handover, takeover implementation planning as well as monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to achieve all project goals.
Direct reports to include 2-3 PMs and 1 x Interface Manager.
Oversee project implementation to identify best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, risk management and HSE.
Build and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effective communication with all stakeholders and central point of contact for the customer as escalation point for project issues.
Monitoring and control of project financial data.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE WILL BE:

At least 8 years of experience of project management or equivalent managing large infrastructure projects
Experience with project goals, costs, plans and suppliers / subcontractors.
Experience in project execution, with strong communication skills, problem-solving, negotiation and coaching skills.
Established contractual understandings.
High level of commitment, flexibility & teamwork as well as goal and customer orientation
PMP, IPMA or other project management certificates are of advantage.
Availability for international travel
