We are actively looking to engage road, air & sea freight forwarding professionals for an exciting new opportunity as a Freight Forwarder (Weekends) in Castle Donington. The successful candidate will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday across a 3 day working week only!

Description

As an Freight Forwarder (Weekends) you will report into the Operations Manager and work on a 3 day hybrid working pattern. You will only work across Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a mixture of home and office working. You will also have the following duties and responsibilities:

Preparing road, air and sea freight price quotations - Informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods
Organising transport through third party transit means.
Providing valid insurance for the vehicles - trucks and trailers
Providing appropriate transportation means with adequate load capacity
Handling customs entries and arranging billings for VAT/Duties
Ensuring full HAWB and MAWB compliance and customs clearance.Profile

The successful candidate will have an expansive background in the freight forwarding industry with a bias towards either road or air freight. The ideally Freight Forwarder (Weekends) will have the following skills and experience:

The desire to work a 3 day working week (across Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
2+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either road or air freight
Experience of pricing, quotating and planning customer deliveries across road, air & sea freight.
Desirable experience of customs compliance / HAWB & MAWB
Proven track record of calculating taxes and duties via imported freight
Excellent customer service experience
Knowledge of INCOTerms.
Commutable to Castle Donington (Derbyshire & Leciestershire) for at least a day per week with the rest on a hybrid pattern. Job Offer
