Salary Outer London Teachers Main Pay Scale (SP1-SP12) £34,514 to £46,001 per annum plus SEN allowance £2,539 per annum

The special Free School in Croydon is for children and young people with autism and learning difficulties. The school opened in 2020 and provides 150 places for children and young people aged 2-19 who have autism and social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The Role
The School are seeking a food technology teacher with enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for teaching to join their team and contribute to their fast improving school.
Key Responsibilities
You will plan differentiated work to meet the needs of individuals and groups promoting progression, continuity and quality of learning by having clear intentions for childrens learning and by using your knowledge of school policies and National Curriculum requirements.
You will support the pastoral needs of the students, creating a safe nurturing space within your classroom that allows students to grow as people and develop a positive sense of self concept, emotional resilience and positive self-esteem.
You should be able to accurately assess need, deliver teaching reflective of need, and measure targeted incremental progress, in order that students are prepared for transition and integration into their next appropriate phase of education.
Skills and Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status
Be willing to follow the school Child Protection Policy and procedures and undertake mandatory Safeguarding training as directed by the school
Recent experience of delivering at KS2
Fulfil the Professional Standards for Teachers in England.
Proven ability to demonstrate excellent classroom practice.
Proven ability in working successfully as part of a staff team.
Evidence of knowing how to evaluate ones own strengths and weaknesses.
Knowledge and experience of current good practice and curriculum developments in special and mainstream education provision.
