Job Description

A key technical role reporting directly to the Automation Engineering Lead with the Application Ops department of Service Ops, under the CTO org. Responsible for the design, building, implementation, documentation, and handover of automation workload.
Working to a functional framework that evolves to the requirements of the business and needs of our customers.
Ensuring workload visibility, self-serve/shift-left approach through reusable solutions are at the forefront of our automation function. Working with development teams on continual deployment processes, enabling safe agile and building a responsive professional cross-functional service.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to a successful Automation Engineering team with a core function of supporting internal business units provide a positive customer experience.
Focus on reducing manual processes across all business requirements. Working with the development teams to implement and improve continual deployment processes, enabling true agile but safe software delivery.
Work with the Customer Support function of the business to enable a push left of customer fixes to the 2nd line support team. Ensuring we run a true 3rd line function in Service Ops.
Create and build a close relationship with the ParentPay Group in-house Software Delivery teams.
Work to a comprehensive Group wide automation delivery roadmap.
Ensure the most effective deployment solutions are in place for ParentPay development teams, embracing the principles of CI/CD. The transformation to CI/CD across the Group
Should demonstrate transformation experience as hearts and minds are won and everyone is taken on the journey
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Maintain a scalable, resilient & secure CI/CD environment, enabling our development teams to self serve where possible
Work with the Infrastructure Services team to maintain automated infrastructure provisioning with parameter driven templates
Ensure that all technical documentation for all automated solutions is created, owned, and accurately maintained
Embed a culture and process of continual improvement that focusses on technology, products, process, and people in equal measures to evolve the quality of customer facing services
Ensure compliance with appropriate security measures and maintaining and reviewing IT and Information Security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of the systems under operational control, to meet appropriate requirements (e.g., ISO27001, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations), PCI etc).
Ensure effective tools, technologies and platform services are used and that reuse of shared components and central technologies are adopted where appropriate
Investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of automation flow failures
