Job Description To manage the commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects of a gross value of circa £250k to £10 million.
This is a hybrid role, working from various locations , including home, Blackburn office and nationwide project sites. The role is likely to require stays overnight close to site locations.
The candidate will be a strong team player but with an ability to work individually as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Administration of the Main Contract(s) including assisting with Project Control information, Change Management and Cash collection
Administration of the Subcontract Agreements holistically under the portfolio, including execution of the project subcontract strategy
Provide advisory service regarding various standard forms of agreement (including JCT, NEC, ICE, etc.), their administration ensuring best practices are adopted and implemented throughout the project life span including inception, delivery and close out
Assist in development and responsibility for Subcontract procurement and negotiation of all Subcontract Scope of Works and terms and conditions
Commercial management of all Subcontract works NEC3 (plus all other standard forms and Options)
Managing Change, including valuing change and agreeing value consequences to Subcontractors
Project Accounting
Periodic Cost Value Reconciliation(s)
Periodic Cash Flow Forecasting and monitoring
Monitoring of budget against expenditure and reporting on variances
Valuing Change
Valuing Claims
Project Management
Working with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environment
Assisting in the administration of Instructions and the like.
Assisting with preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme(s).
Management of all administration of subcontracts
Qualifications To be successful in this role you will posses:
Experience of the JCT standard suite of Contracts essential
Experience of the NEC 3 and 4 suites of Contracts essential
Extensive experience as a site Senior QS with a main contractor or similar organisation
Must demonstrate successful financial delivery in a challenging contracting environment
Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures.
To be fully conversant and compliant with all Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
Complete quarterly ethics module as advised by BPO
To fully comply with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety directives including but not limited to PPE, Accident Reporting, Cardinal Rules, RAMS, ACE
