Job Description

Principal Building Control Surveyor
Salary - £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
North Yorkshire

Outline of role:

• You will be the primary contact with Major Projects both residential and commercial working across North Yorkshire and the North East. You will work with the Building Control Team Leader to build relationships with clients advising them on best practices to ensure all project adhere to the regulations.
• You will be responsible for offering advice and issuing notices across the design and construction phases.
• As a Principal Surveyor you will provide support for trainees and part-qualified surveyors and step in as manager when is appropriate. You will ensure the staff deliver the same high standard as you.
• The ideal person
• Will be chartered with RICS, CABE or CIOB and you will have extensive knowledge of the Building Regulations
• You will have worked in a Senior or Management role previously
• You'll be able to fulfil all aspects of building control and have knowledge of structural and fire engineering
