Job Description

Are you a passionate and motivated teacher of PE looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our school starting in September 2024.

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an 11-18 coeducational secondary school and Sixth Form with an academy status, graded ‘GOOD’, with an ‘OUTSTANDING’ Sixth Form during Ofsted’s most recent visit.  The school are seeking a teacher of PE to join the department from September 2024, on a full time, permanent basis.  The school is easily accessible by car or public transport and is located just a 10-minute walk from Chichester train station.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a Multi Academy Trust and make a real difference to lives of young people, through the provision of Physical Education.  Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 is essential, with experience at KS5 being highly desirable. Physical Education is a cornerstone of the school curriculum, with an extensive extra-curricular program enriching the school community. The appointed educator will play a pivotal role in delivering this diverse range of activities.

The curriculum is broad and inclusive across all key stages, including offerings such as GCSE PE, Health and Fitness, and BTEC Dance at KS4, and BTEC Sport at KS5. The PE department has a strong track record of outstanding outcomes, and they are committed to maintaining high standards, priding themselves on a team-driven environment, continuously striving for improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
