Conveyancing Officer

Welwyn Hatfield, UK

Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Officer to manage residential conveyancing transactions efficiently and effectively on a 12 week contractial basis. This role will involve handling all aspects of the conveyancing process, from initial instruction to completion.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely for four days a week, with one day required in the office on Tuesdays, subject to managerial requests to attend the office on additional days if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions.
Liaising with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and other parties to facilitate smooth transactions.
Conducting property searches and reviewing legal documents.
Drafting contracts, transfer documents, and other legal correspondence.
Handling exchange of contracts and completion of transactions.
Providing advice and guidance to clients throughout the conveyancing process.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.Requirements:

Experience in residential conveyancing/experience of dealing with property work within a local government context.
Thorough understanding of the conveyancing process and legal principles.
Proficiency in conveyancing software and MS Office applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
A proactive and client-focused approach to work.
