Job Description

HGV/LGV Class 1 Driver

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced HGV/LGV Class 1 Driver to join us, providing a first class service with our team in Oldham. You’ll be undertaking the delivery & collection of product on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers.

The Details:

Salary: £37,000.00K Per Annum
Shift Pattern: 5 Day Shifts On & 2 Days Shifts Off (Monday – Friday)  
Hours: Basic 48 Hours Per Week (9.6 hour shift with 45 minutes unpaid break.) 
Overtime Available
Parking available onsite
Monthly pay
HGV Class 1 Driver Duties:

Comply with all Driver hours and Road Transport Directive legislation
Feedback to the office on any issues around loading, unloading or delays
Maintaining safety and security of loads at all times
Keep in regular communication with both customers and colleagues to update on progress and manage expectations effectively
Drive in a safe and responsible manner, as we value the communities we serve
Carrying out necessary checks to ensure vehicle is safe and legal
Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely and within the legislation
All deliveries reach the customer safely, efficiently and on time
Complete daily vehicle checks, both pre and post-shift
Keep an accurate and honest record of all vehicle checks
Driver Requirements:

A full UK C+E licence
No more than 6 points on your licence
No previous disqualifications
Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations
