Job Description

Our client are an award winning landscaping contractor who undertake a wide variety of projects for commercial and domestic clients and are proud to have been recognised by several industry bodies and hold many Accreditations.

Having a wide depth of knowledge and expertise in every aspect of landscaping and maintenance they are committed to quality landscaping and offer a very high level of service to their clients.

This is a key role within the Construction division of our business, leading the soft landscaping / horticultural activities to bring design-led horticultural plans to life.

Due to continued success, they are now looking for working soft landscape foreman, with a passion and great knowledge for gardening required to join a team working to a high standard. You will need to organise horticultural resources alongside the overall Site Foreman and the company’s Plant Procurement Specialist to deliver an effective and timely service. Ensuring superb quality in terms of plant / tree health whilst on site is key to realising the garden vision.

The role

This role will be "on the tools"

Supervisory duties.

To manage site project work, & and landscaping staff.

To ensure all results are completed to a high standard.

Ensure a smooth operation while on site, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Maintaining and managing all horticultural elements on site to ensure sustained good health

Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director

Duties:

* Manage day to day running of the sites.

* Including planning work for assistants and contractors.

* Communicate clearly with the Project Managers

* Indicate / highlight potential issues.

* Speaking to clients and contractors will be required.

* Reading, setting out and working to plans set by the designers.

* Training and upskilling of assistants.

* Daily completion of job sheets, highlighting future requirements.

* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.

* Site preparations including groundworks and drainage.

* Brickwork / blockwork.

* Paving and the ability to set out cross falls.

* Fencing and decking / composite decking

* Tree Planting

* Turfing and maintenance

Requirements of the role

* Previous experience in soft landscaping

* UK Driving licence required

* Knowledge of Horticulture

* Knowledge of tools and machinery

* CSCS desirable

* Professional attitude

* Working as part of a team

* High end landscaping experience

* Certificates in spraying (PA1 PA6)

* RHS level qualification would be advantageous

* Excellent awareness of Health & Safety and implementing procedures
