Job Description

Menzies Distribution are currently looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our busy team based in Preston. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is distributed whilst complying with Transport Legislation, Health & Safety and customer service requirements.

What You Really Want To Know:

Salary: £32,500.00k Per Annum
Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Days
Hours: 06:00-18:00
Locaton: PR2 5BP
Holidays: 20 Days Per Annum (Bank Holiday working is required if your shift pattern falls on it)

Parking Onsite
Transport Supervisor Duties: 

Daily control and execution of the transport plan and adapting as neccessary
Briefing and De-Briefing drivers to ensure deliveries are completed in a safe manner in accordance to Menzies standards.
Actioning all driver and customer quieries and responding in a proffesional manner.
Awareness of vehicle earnings/efficiencies and understanding their significance
Effective communication to drivers, customers and operations
Ensuring all site compliance is adhered to
Championing all transport systems and maintaining screen compliance
Managing site Health and Safety procedures
Transport Supervisor Requirements:

‘Right To Work’ in the UK
Experience of working in a busy Transport office
Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement.
Strong negotiating skills
Good standard of education
IT literate
Knowledge of Health & Safety
Commercial understanding
Knowledge of transport systems.
Weekend work may be required
