Marine Wastewater Engineer

Our client an established and growing environmentally friendly company that operates worldwide are currently looking to recruit a Marine Wastewater Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company where you can really make a difference. The role will involve travel worldwide and would suit an experienced engineer with experience in a similar role.

Role: Marine Wastewater Engineer Where: Southampton - hybrid based with worldwide travel

Salary: c£70-80,000pa dependant on experience

Responsibilities will include:

Analysing various wastewater treatment methods used to prepare water for industrial and domestic use; recommend the most effective method.
Analysing disposal methods or treatments for sludge; recommending and develop sludge treatment plants or methods to best serve the assigned area.
Monitoring conditions at sites - for example, checking water levels.
Fill out risk assessment documents for all visits /projects.
Producing designs, both initial outlines and full plans, for sewerage, water treatment, and other water-related projects.
Presenting project details and technical information to colleagues and clients.
Provide system and component design that reduce negative impact on environment.
Monitor progress and provide recommendations reports.
Evaluate project performance on completed projects.
Assign responsibilities and mentor project teams.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Keeping up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines.
Collaborate with scientists, planners, and experts.
Engaging in public consultations about water projects. You will need:

Previous experience within a similar role.
Be ready to travel across Europe and other parts of the world.
To be a creative problem solver.
Strong written and verbal communication
Excellent time management & multi-tasking skills
Experienced working within ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and 18001 standards
Project and personnel management skills
